Landscape Design & Installation

Landscape Design and Installation for Commercial Properties

A documented plan you can price, phase, and build — designed and installed by the same team.

Overview

Design That Accounts for Year Five, Not Just Opening Day

Most disappointing commercial landscapes were not installed badly. They were designed without thinking about maintenance. Shrubs chosen at nursery size get planted three feet from a walk and spend the next decade being sheared into boxes; trees go in where their canopy will eventually block signage; beds are drawn in shapes no mower can follow. The install photographs beautifully and then costs more every year to keep looking acceptable.

We design from the maintenance side backward. Plant selection starts with mature size, our USDA zone, exposure, and soil conditions, then works toward the look you want — massed plantings that read cleanly from the road, structure that holds shape through winter, and enough seasonal interest that the property is not depending on annual color to look alive. Bed lines are drawn so equipment can follow them, and plants are spaced for what they become rather than what fits today.

The plan you receive is a working document: site analysis, concept, plant schedule with quantities and sizes, grading and drainage notes, irrigation implications, and phasing options if the whole scope will not fit this year's budget. Because our crews install what we draw, nothing gets value-engineered into something unrecognizable between design and dirt — and we stay on the property afterward for establishment watering and warranty checks.

What’s Included

Everything in the Scope.

  • Site analysis

Sun, drainage, soil, existing plant condition, sightlines, and traffic patterns documented.

  • Concept plan

Layout and planting concept reviewed with you before anything is finalized.

  • Plant schedule

Species, quantities, and installed sizes selected for mature scale and local conditions.

  • Grading & drainage

Positive drainage away from structures, swales and corrections where water collects.

  • Soil preparation

Amendment and bed construction so new plantings are not fighting compacted subsoil.

  • Hardscape elements

Walkways, seat walls, boulders, and edging where the plan calls for structure.

  • Installation

Planting to spec by our own crews, with mulch, staking, and initial watering-in.

  • Establishment care

Follow-up watering guidance, monitoring visits, and warranty replacement on plant material.

Benefits

What It Does for the Property.

Lower maintenance for the life of the landscape

Right plant, right place means less shearing, less replacement, and a smaller maintenance line every year after install.

A first impression that matches the building

Entries and frontage designed intentionally instead of assembled from whatever the last vendor had on the truck.

Budget you can phase

A complete plan lets you build in stages across fiscal years without the result looking piecemeal.

Yes for full design work — measured site analysis and drawings take real time. The design fee is typically credited toward installation when we build the project. Straightforward bed refreshes for existing maintenance clients are often handled as a scoped proposal without a formal design fee.
